Mike Ream will be leading a Wild Edible Forage on Sunday April 27th from 2pm - 5pm. He will be showing us how to identify local wild edible plants that may be growing in our very own backyards or nearby parks. Mike Ream will also be showing us how to go about eating these plants and what some of the best ways to eat them are.

You will be able to go home with plenty of wild food after the forage is over. Please bring comfortable clothes, water, and a cloth bag to carry your plants in. This is a great opportunity to discover a way to have the most nutritious food on the planet without paying a dime and pick the food in your local environment!

The parking lot where we will be meeting is at a small lake 1/4 mile east of Hughes Rd & Hunting Quarter Road in Poolesville MD 20837.

If you need more information, please contact Mike Blongiewicz at mike4health@aol.com or 301-525-4902.

Looks great but I'm going to the baseball game. Enjoy!

Who attended?

    •  Very informative. Thanks, Mike and Mike!
    •  Great idea. Enjoyed my first Raw Food Meet up. Didn't dress right so I got cold and had to leave early. Perhaps someone could fill in the names for the plant pictures I took.

My three friends, Carol, Ellen and Gail and I really had fun and many laughs at the Hike. At first we were disappointed that a sign language interpreter could not turn up due to some unforeseen circumstances. However, Mike Morrison offered to interpret for us. He made a big difference as we learned a lot what Mike taught us about the wild plants. I am not sure how many people attended the hike but all of them were friendly and helpful with the picking of the plants. It was nice seeing some young people and two small children. My three friends and I would love to attend more wild edible plant hikes again in the near future. Many Heartfelt Thanks from my three friends and myself to Mike, the teacher and also to Ward, the "interpreter" and to all who joined the hike.
