DESCRIPTION:Vancouver Raw Food POTLUCK!\n\nHello all\,  Firstly we would lo
 ve to thank those of you who came to our Christmas Party - you really helpe
 d make it an amazingly fun and connected evening. The food was delicious! T
 he "Angel Wash" was so good\, we had to do it twice! Some of you were here 
 for 11 hours! I know some of you had such a great time\, that you are eager
  to come back for more...  So for the next fun filled event at the Raw Mans
 ion - New Years Eve!   It will be a vegan pot-luck\, ideally RAW (to get th
 e year off with the best start) - we want you to feel welcome if you are no
 t a raw fooder (yet... hehe). Once again\, in the interest of delicious foo
 d and the holiday mood\, if you could splurge and bring us your favourite d
 ish (to feed at least 8 - one dish per person\, if you are a couple please 
 double up your dish\, or bring two). Though requesting RAW\, Taylor\, if yo
 u come... your cooked curried yams were a big hit \;-) If you could include
  your dish when you RSVP\, that is helpful for everyone.  We will be having
  mulled (warm spiced) wine once again\, as well as some non alcoholic bever
 ages. Please feel free to bring what you would like to drink\, or share\, a
 lso (champagne or sparkling apple juice for a midnight toast\, anyone?).  W
 e will do the "Angel Wash" for those of you who missed it\, or want a repea
 t. If you have any fun or meaningful ceremonies\, games or rituals please "
 bring" them to share\, so we can start the year from a place of joy\, love 
 and fun. There will be music... both live\, and for dancing. For you musici
 ans\, bring your instruments\, and we could have a mini concert. And feel f
 ree to bring your friends\, we have room for them too :-)  Officially we wi
 ll start at 7pm\, but once again if you would like to come earlier to hang 
 out and prep at our house\, or would like our help or input if you are a ne
 w raw fooder you are welcome. If you could let us know ahead whether to exp
 ect you early\, or to make suggestions if you want an impromptu "lesson".  
 The party will end... who knows... when the birds start chirping \;-) If yo
 u want to stay late\, and do not want to drive - we can accommodate you\, t
 hough you may need to bring a sleeping bag. Please let us know if that is s
 omething you are thinking of.   Once again\, as it is a holiday party we ar
 e waiving the pot-luck "host" fee\, as our gift to you. My family and I are

SUMMARY:Animal Advocacy Camp
DESCRIPTION:Vancouver Raw Food POTLUCK!\n\nCome to a day of learning about 
 taking effective action for animals. We all have valuable skills\, experien
 ces\, and ideas\, and by working and learning together we can build a stron
 ger community of animal advocates and make a greater difference in the live
 s of animals. Animal Advocacy Camp will be a practical\, attendee-led event
 \, where topics and discussions are suggested by the attendees rather than 
 following a pre-set agenda. Share your stories\, ideas\, and experiences. L
 earn from the experiences of others. Discover the wealth of resources avail
 able Host powerful dialogues about issues and strategies. Create new relati
 onships. Strengthen existing relationships. Become a stronger and more effe
 ctive advocate for animals.  The event will be held in the Alma VanDusen an
 d Peter Kaye room at the Vancouver Public Library\, and will take place on 
 Saturday\, January 23rd\, beginning at 10am (doors open at 9am) and ending 
 at 5pm. Lunch will be provided\, as will morning coffee and snacks. There i
 s talk that Gorilla Foods will be one of the caterers!  If not it's a short
  walk to there!  Advance registration is required (but is free). Space is l
