This place is amazing. It is a part of Port Stephens that is not commercialised at all. Koalas in the campsite trees, a friendly young Kangaroo you can pet and play with, Dolphins in the ocean and a beautiful beach 5 mins walk from the campsite with white sand and clear water.

Accomodation:
Tents - take your own @ $15 per night and choose a spot within the large field. Lots of trees and shade.
Hire Tents - I will negotiate a rate for those wanting to hire one - approx $50 per night. The hired tents are very large with double beds and accessories already set up.
Cabins - backpacker tree house style - various rates.

Food:
2 large fridges available at the huge campsite kitchen which you can store your raw fruit & veg, water, drinks etc. Full cooking facilities and BBQ.
Supermarket and general store close by. The backpackers provides bicycles free to get to shops etc.

Travel:
Jojo's van - fits 8 people, please book with Jojo
Carpool - anyone wanting to drive and can offer a lift to others please advise.
Coach - $45 return. Leaves Sydney central & Chatswood and you get dropped right at the accomodation. You also get picked up right outside when leaving. Travel time approx 3 hours coach or 2.5 by car.

Other - if you want to share a tent or have a tent to share please advise me by email in advance as with travel so I can coordinate.
When you rsvp you are coming please state what type of accomodation you will be using and what travel you prefer.

We intend on leaving early Friday (easter friday) and returning afternoon Monday (easter monday).

While this is a group event you are welcome to come along and camp together and do your own day activities if you prefer. There are many cruises and surrounding beaches at Nelson bay which is very close. There are regular bus services outside the accomodation which takes approx 15 mins to Nelson bay. Also there is a popular surf school at One Mile beach by the accomodation if you want to learn how to surf and One Mile beach is known for a good surf spot. The beach store hired body boards, umbrellas and chairs for a small amount.

For more info go to website.

If you are wanting to come it is advisable to rsvp your attendance as much in advance as possible as this place gets booked out.

This is a very popular walk if you haven't done it already.

We start opposite the beach outside the big coogee hotel walk over to Gordens bay (the next beach) and swim there if you want to swim, then to Clovelly beach, Bronte and end at Bondi Beach.

This is not a difficult walk and takes approx 2 hours however swimming will be done along the way so allowing for a few stops we should end up at Bondi around 3pm.

Bring raw or vegan food and *lots* of water and sunscreen.

With the sunny weekend weather expected Coogee gets quite busy so if you have a mobile phone it is helpful to take that and my number 0409104700 - if you get lost.

warm wishes,
Karyn

This class i'd like to make is all about raw chocolate (which especcially good before easter). I will provide information about benefits of including raw cacao in your diet (guilt free), how to make delicious and very healthy chocolate snacks, cakes and other deserts. I also want to talk about peruvian superfoods (Lucuma, Mesquite, Agave, Yacon) that are great to use in deserts and fool of antioxidants, and will include some of them in the cooking class.

Basically the class includes generous tasting of food, comprehensive information about raw deserts and its benefits and recipe booklet. (duration 3 1/2 hours)

This is an ideal time for new members to come along, share their experiences and be introduced.

Topic discussion ideas;

Reports show cancer is strongly linked to health and diet. I have a recent report from a US hospital outlining how meat and animal product diets cause an environment for cancer to thrive. Natalie will bring this along.

Can you reduce your risk of cancer through a vegan diet?

Does a vegan diet provide all our nutritional requirements?

How does a person introduce a raw diet to their body? Is there a timeframe? What experiences do we have that can be used to help support this?

Your ideas and information are valuable to our group and we all appreciate the input.

Existing members please remember your annual donation of $10 if you have not already paid.

See you then.

If you are meeting us to walk over, please meet on the corner out the front of the cafe at 7pm. Please call
Natalie on 0417 677 841 if there are any problems :)

Otherwise, we'll be waiting at the front of the building near Regimental Crescent. The building is closer to Missenden Road than City Road, so coming in from Parramatta Road at Western Avenue may be the best bet."

BYO raw food or vegan dish.

All opinions and ideas are welcome. Other than scientifically proven facts, what you think is neither right or wrong as everyone has different and unique exerpiences. I believe we can learn from each other and accept that an individual's truth regarding health sometimes come from personal experiences which we are grateful to share.

Discussion on Raw & Vegan Values -

What percentage of the diet should be raw or vegan to rightfully identify as one?

Are ALL raw diets healthy and the people that adhere to them?

Are raw vegans healthier than someone consuming raw animal flesh as well?

Is there any proof that eating a diet predominately consisting of fruit and veges promotes longevitiy?

What is your favourite vegan or raw dish that you would like to share with the rest of the group?
