This is an ideal time for new members to come along, share their experiences and be introduced.

Topic discussion ideas;

Reports show cancer is strongly linked to health and diet. I have a recent report from a US hospital outlining how meat and animal product diets cause an environment for cancer to thrive. Natalie will bring this along.

Can you reduce your risk of cancer through a vegan diet?

Does a vegan diet provide all our nutritional requirements?

How does a person introduce a raw diet to their body? Is there a timeframe? What experiences do we have that can be used to help support this?

Your ideas and information are valuable to our group and we all appreciate the input.

Existing members please remember your annual donation of $10 if you have not already paid.

See you then.

Olya is a personal trainer and specialist in raw food diets.

Olya leads a strict raw food lifestyle herself for many years and has taught others how to make various raw food recipies in various parts of Australia.

She will run through how raw food diets benefit herself and her clients and recommendations for those wanting to introduce this health option to their lives.

Inspiring and well informed this will be a talk not to miss if you are interested in the raw food movement and Olya will be following up shortly with some raw experiential classes i.e. you will be making the raw food yourself!

Bring your questions and energy and see you there!

There are many reasons to become vegan and I'd like to share my reasons with you. It's the best life choice that you can make to help reduce animal suffering, improve your health and to contribute in a postive way towards saving our precious planet.

I am a new vegan myself since August 2007 but I've been following a vegetarian diet for 23 years. I joined the Vegan & Raw Food Meet Up last August to meet like minded souls.

I love cooking and experimenting with new dishes and I would like to share my experiences since going vegan and chat about the benefits. I can share ideas about ways to make simple and quick vegan food, where to buy it, how to buy it, what to look for in terms of labelling and try to answer any other questions you may have!

POD cuisine at the Salt Clinic is a new vegan venue. It is a small, relaxed place just off Oxford street, near Taylor Square. They serve extremely healthy food and will serve raw salads if you prefer. Prices are decent - from $10. We need to support them so come along for an interesting experience and try the chocolate covered ginger dates which are divine!

Hey everyone, Aaron Scheibner, a member of our group, owns a vegan food business and is releasing his first movie that he has directed himself!

He will be giving our group a talk just after this move release so we'll have the opportunity to ask him all the questions we want.

I can't wait to see this. Here is a basic outline below.

Nominated as the best 'unreleased' movie for the Australian Film Critics Association Awards
Plot Outline: Nominated as the best 'unreleased' movie for the Australian Film Critics Association Awards, A Delicate Balance - The Truth is a stunning documentary that will leave you with a very clear picture of how our health and our environment are so closely linked.

Every person today has been touched or will be touched by the loss of a loved one to illness. In a time when modern medicine and science have made such enormous advancements, why is this so? A Delicate Balance - The Truth will leave each person fully informed as to what causes these problems and offers a solution. The film shows not only a way out of this cycle of sickness, of both human and the environment but also how our choices will help change the health and environment of all beings on this planet.
