CANCELLED DUE TO RAIN
It appears the rain continues, and there is no volunteered indoor location. If anyone wants to email me personally at wtraylor@areyouthink
ing.org I'll be happy to start the conversation with you about anything you'd like to know about raw foods between now and the next meetup.
Also, there is a group that meets monthly, run by raw food chef "Mira" in the Raleigh area. Sign up to receive the monthly meeting information (usually 2nd Sunday of the month at her house in Raleigh) at http://health.groups

Have a great weekend!

Hi Everyone! I see many people on the alerts list ready for a raw foods meetup and waiting for someone to claim a time and place. Wait no longer! We will have out first meeting somewhere in the Triangle (volunteer your place!) on the first Saturday of May.
I have been going to living foods potlucks and events wherever I've lived since I've switched to this lifestyle, and they are an excellent way to have a GREAT time, share ideas, and continuing to strengthen your progress with transitioning to a more raw diet.
The format I've seen work well, and personally greatly enjoy, is to take turns each meeting presenting something we've learned, and enjoy sharing dishes with one another in an informal, relaxed home environment.
What we need however, is a LOCATION.
I am prepared to give a demo for this first meeting, and bring some of your ideas to fruition. Please send them to me.
I am into juicing a lot recently, as well as making superfood smoothies. Expect a demo on either of these features. If we're outside with no power I'll bring something interesting premade.
If you live anywhere in the Triangle, please offer to use your deck, kitchen, or living room and I will post it to the group. You need only offer for this first event, we can find another place for subsequent meetings if youprefer. Just go ahead and send me an email.
If no offers for a location, I will pick something in a public outdoor place, probably in Raleigh, unless more members are in Durham or Chapel Hill.
For May 5th,we'll meet in the Raleigh Rose Garden on Pogue Street, on the park benches behind the roses. Basically, this is a nice place and near my home. Other indoor and outdoor locations in the triangle are game for future meetings, please be active on the mailing list if you have other ideas!
Please bring a dish, please keep all ingredients RAW and ORGANIC. If you are completely new and have no idea what to do, there are good recipes to try at http://www.living-fo
ods.com/recipes/.
Also some fresh fruit is always welcome - I've done this many times at others' potluck on busy days.
Please come at 4:00 so we may meet and greet, I'll give a demo for 30 minutes or so, and we can eat and talk for as long as the space is available.
I look forward to meeting you all!
