Food Inc. opened in Chicago today. I saw it at the Century Landmark theatre (near Clark and Diversey).
For those who have read Omnivore's Dilemma by Michael Pollan, much ill not be new (and Pollan appears often in the film) but the film adds so much to the book. Especially moving (along with the immense cruely to animals and the idocy of tax subsidies for crops that are making us sick)are the stories of farmers bullied by Monsanto. Don't miss this!! It may not have a long stay! Bring your S.A.D. friends along too! Then invite them to a meetup and I'll bet they'll be interested!
