Join us for a fun and vibrant fourth of July picnic potluck at Discovery Park! Info: Raw Vegan Picnic Potluck - Discovery Park Saturday, July 4, 2009 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM (You're welcome to stay longer) I posted the details (including cell#) on my web site: http://www.soystache .com/rawpotluck.htm Feel free to bring frisbees, basketball, volleyball, tennis equipment, etc. Plan to have fun! If anyone has a volleyball net to bring, they have permanent posts there. Badminton equipment is also welcome. Perhaps we'll have another game of kickball! I also plan to bring some juggling pins, etc., so if you're a juggler, please show us how it's done! Are you up for the brand new game "Ultimate Medicine Ball" or "Ultimate Badminton"? If you prefer not sitting on the ground, please bring blankets and/or chairs. Let's celebrate the day with some wonderful company, some fun games and activities, and some vibrant raw living foods!!! Bring bicycles for fun cruises around the park and down to the waterfront! How about some drums? What to bring: A prepared dish of raw, organic vegan ingredients. As this is a picnic, whole organic fruits, as well as salads are especially welcome! As it is outdoors, durian is more than welcome! (as well as durian puddings, pies, etc.!) These events are about abundance, therefore, each person is requested to bring a prepared dish large enough that, if eaten alone, it would completely satisfy 2 or more people (couples 4 or more people). Please provide a detailed list of ingredients, and the recipe, if possible. If it's your first time and you don't know what to bring, but are interested in coming, just bring an organic salad with dressing on the side or some organic fruit. Please bring your own plates and silverware. Location: Discovery Park, near (in back of) the Visitor Center off of W Government Way We will be near the tennis/basketball/vo lleyball courts and kids' play area. Watch for a "Raw" sign. On the park map (link below) we will be south of the Visitor Center. _ About Discovery Park: http://www.cityofsea ttle.net/parks/Envir onment/discovparkind ex.htm For a park map: http://www.seattle.g ov/parks/Environment /Trails/discovery-ma p.htm

Hi Everyone ... How are you? There has been a slight change in plans to some degree. The Cabana was not available this weekend but the potluck and pool party will still happen. There are tables and chairs and we still will have option to use pool and hot tub and to eat there ... We also have option to eat at the condo. The plan now is to have a game night too back here at the condo # N 101 a little later in the evening. (Scattergories, Balderdash, Mafia/Submarine) I do have the entire cabana reserved now for Sunday the 28th.. so there will be a 2nd pool party too!!!! Yay! That one will be earlier in the day and its reserved for all day - so we can soak up some rays and enjoy the space. Please bring friends and fun Saturday and RSVP for the 28th as well :) Going to be a great summer! See you soon ! ~PEACE~ Heather
