The House of Vibrant Living would like to invite you for a raw vegan potluck this Saturday from 7-10pm. Kids are welcome, my boys (10 and 12) will be here. Afterwards we may play some games (cards, etc), and the film 'Food Matters' will be playing downstairs as well. Hope to see you - Asya Usual Potluck Etiquette: Please bring only raw, organic, vegan (plant-based) foods. Bring your own dishes, serving utensils, and eating utensils. In general, bring enough food to fill you up if that was the only thing you would eat. Preferably, bring enough to fill two or more people. That way there should always be plenty for everyone. Label all the ingredients of your dish. Also label whether organic or not. If you are not sure if specific ingredients are raw, please ask someone before including it. Potluck hosts open up their home for potlucks, but not necessarily for food preparation. Please have your food prepared prior to arriving at the potluck. If special circumstances require you do some food prep after arriving at the potluck, please contact the host to see if you can use their kitchen/knives, etc. Please clean up after yourself. The hosts have generously offered their space for our potlucks, but they shouldn’t have to spend hours cleaning up after us. Let’s show our gratitude and make their lives easier: let’s clean up after ourselves! |

Guest Speaker: Our very own Raw Food Chef Extraordinaire, Mia Dalene will be sharing how we can amp up our own phenomenal brain power through preparing and eating raw! Welcome! I hope this finds you well and enjoying the glorious weather we've been having into the Autumn season! I'd like to invite you to please come join us on the first Sunday of each month for great raw vegan food and an awesome, friendly and supportive group of individuals! Everyone is welcome. Feel free to bring a guest and extend this invitation to others you think may be interested. You don't need to be vegan or raw to attend but we ask that the food you bring to share is both raw and vegan. If you're not sure what falls under these categories or what to bring please check out these websites http://www.rawglow.c What to bring: Please bring a raw vegan dish of your choice to share and serving utensils. It should be enough for approximately 8-10 people. If you are new to raw vegan food and would like some ideas and recipes please check out this website http://www.living-fo Due to possible food sensitivities and allergies please write a list of all ingredients in your recipe on a 3X5 index card. Please have it ready to place next to your dish so it can be easily read. Measurements and preparation directions are not necessary. If you forget to prepare the list before attending I will have index cards and pens that you can use at the potluck. If you'd like to share the entire recipe feel free to bring copies for folks to take home. You are welcome and encouraged to bring your own personal china/wooden bowls or dishes and chop sticks or silverware. This will help keep us green and most often it's a lot more fun and pleasant eating from something other than paper and plastic. Filtered water will be supplied as well as cups, napkins, paper plates and plastic cutlery if it's not convenient for you to bring your own. There will be no set fee for this potluck. However, a donation of your choice is greatly appreciated to help cover costs of supplies and incidentals. In addition, I would like to show guest speakers our gratitude for their time and generosity by having a separate pot for you to contribute an amount of your choice to them. Many thanks in advance. Please R.S.V.P: Directions: Next to the marked residential parking spaces there will be a sign posted on a pole that reads "Raw Vegan Potluck - This Way ->" The door to the activities room where the potluck will be held is to the right of the pool as you enter the courtyard. If you are driving on 5th from Main St. take a left onto Elm. If you have trouble finding the location please call me, Giacinta at 206-852-3683. I will have my phone on and will do my best to hear it when it rings. If it's before 6PM and I don't pick up please leave a message or call again. I will turn my ringer off at 6PM therefore will not be able to help after that time. Please don't hesitate to call or e-mail with any questions or comments you may have prior to the date of the potluck. If you cannot make it by 6 PM you are still very welcome to come and join us with your yummy creation! Many thanks to: Warmly, |
